The main objective of this study is to analyse the number of tourism services that Spanish public administrations have tendered between January 2018 and December 2021. To do so, it is based on the data provided by the State Procurement Platform in that period, based on the use of the procurement codes used by the administration. To do so, it starts with the establishment of a methodology, followed by a theoretical framework focused on the definition of the concept of tourism services and their typology, continuing with the definition of the concept of outsourcing and the identification of the tourism services that are outsourced. The results obtained with the data extracted from the platform are then presented. Among the results of this study, it is worth mentioning that in the aforementioned period, there has been an increase in the number of tenders issued by public administrations in the field of tourism.
