
Effective communication currently plays a crucial role in the success of film festivals. A festival
can no longer rely only on the quality of the films it screens, as it must forge a strong and lasting
connection with its audience through well-planned communicative tactics. In this context, a
strategic communication plan becomes an essential tool to create a coherent narrative that
transforms a film festival into an unforgettable and impactful experience. For this reason, this
work focuses on developing a strategic communication plan for the 11th edition of the Rural
FilmFest. The main objective is to enhance its visibility and connection with the audience
through social media. The plan aims to leverage digital platforms to increase the event's
visibility and establish effective communication with its target audience. The Rural FilmFest is
an international itinerant film festival that offers a current overview of international
documentary, fiction, and animation films in short, medium, and feature lengths related to the
rural world, ecology, sustainability, and natural and cultural resources.
